John and Nancy Whalen are the owner/operators of Advantage Home Inspection and J.N.J Builders. John does the inspecting and building while Nancy handles the paperwork and bill paying. John, personally, does all Advantage inspections.

-Backround-

John has over 20 years of experience in the Residential Construction Industry -- building new, remodeling, and inspecting. Our building company -J.N.J. Builders- obtained our Class B General Contractor's license(#608746) in 1991. In addition, John has been a a Certified Inspector member of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) since 2002. He has met CREIA's testing and professional requirements, and subscribes to the association's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Advantage has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2003 and has a A+ rating. Our reports are an emailed checklist/commentary report(with pictures) -- the one we have determined is the most descriptive while being easy to read. Reports are emailed to customers within 24 hours of inspection completion.

-Availability-

We will inspect property at the customer's convenience and are available 7 days a week to make inspections. After an inspection, we are available for phone consultation as long as the customer is involved with the property. We encourage Realtor, Seller and Buyer participation during the inspection as this promotes the best understanding of the property and the inspection report.
